Product Description: This offering is for a new mtb quick release skewer and seat binder set finished in a black enamel. These are newer sets and while not a high-end offering, still bike shop quality (although probably low to mid-level bike shop quality). The end pieces (i.e., the cam and acorn nut) are made from an aluminum alloy and the skewers are made from a hardened steel. The M5 (5 mm) skewers (not inclusive of the cams) measure 163 mm (rear) and 128 mm (front) and include 30 mm threaded sections, which appear to be a good fit for most mtb wheels (or equivalent) with 135 mm locknut-to-locknut rear spacing. Just to be clear, the shanks measure 133 mm (rear) and 98 mm (front)...and the shank is defined as the unthreaded section of the skewer (and not inclusive of the cam/head). The M6 (6 mm) binder shank measures 37 mm and includes a 30 mm threaded section. Lastly, according to our digital postal scale, these sets weigh 138 grams (just as pictured). As for condition, these sets are are in nice overall condition and still in their original retail packaging.
